Baby A’s Washington DC Baptism: A Joyful Day at Georgetown University


In August 2024, I had the pleasure of photographing Baby A’s Catholic baptism at Georgetown University in Washington DC. It was a truly special occasion, and capturing both the ceremony and the family moments that followed was an absolute delight.


A Sacred Ceremony in Washington DC


Baby A’s baptism was held in a private midday ceremony with close family members gathered to celebrate this important milestone. As a Catholic photographer, I deeply appreciate the significance of these sacred moments. My background in Catholic traditions helps me understand and respect the rituals, allowing me to capture the ceremony with the attention and care it deserves.


Documenting the Ceremony


From the lighting of the baptismal candle to the anointing with chrism oil, I was there to capture every meaningful detail of Baby A’s baptism. Being familiar with Catholic practices means I can anticipate key moments and ensure nothing important is missed. It’s a privilege to photograph such an intimate and significant event.


Family Photos at Georgetown University


After the baptism, we moved to the beautiful courtyard at Georgetown University for some family photos. The setting was perfect for capturing both the playful and traditional sides of the family. We had a great time taking relaxed, fun shots as well as classic portraits. The extended family was warm and welcoming, and their joy really came through in the photos.


Mixing Fun with Tradition


We had a blast with playful shots that showed off the family’s fun side, while also taking some traditional portraits to mark the occasion. These photos will be wonderful keepsakes for Baby A and the entire family to look back on.
